Workington offers one of the largest liquid bulk tank farms in the region, Simon Storage Cumbrian Terminal, operated by Simon Storage Group Ltd. This facility consists of eighteen tanks with a total storage capacity of 32,000 cubic metres and has benefited from major investment in recent years. Many of the tanks have been modified to suit customers' specific needs, including internal linings, heating systems and nitrogen blanketing. All tanks are fully bunded and have a number of impressive environmental protection systems - impervious concrete flooring being one of the latest editions. The whole installation has ISO 9000 accreditation.

The Port of Workington has 5 warehouses with a total of 4,520 square metres capacity, providing covered storage at the port for weather sensitive cargoes. There are also bagging and rip and tip facilities.

There is also a substantial amount of good quality open storage with flood lighting.
