Towage

The Port of Workington provides its own towage service for vessels requiring a tug for berthing or sailing. Towage is compulsory for all vessels 100m LOA and over and at the Harbour Master's discretion depending on the prevailing circumstances.

The port's tug is on permanent station, 24 hours notice is normally required for vessels requiring towage.
