Easy Access The ports location on the eastern side of the Solway Firth at the mouth of the River Derwent allows easy access by sea to markets in Scotland, Ireland, the Isle of Man and the UKs western seaboard. It is rail linked and well connected by road via the A66 to the M6 motorway and so to the main business and industrial centres of the North of England and Scotland. Internationally, the port is well placed for trade with the western Mediterranean and the Americas. The port has flexible working arrangements and can offer customers normal working hours between 0600 and 2200 seven days a week with no overtime premiums. 24 hour working is available on request.
